Top 10 Lab-Grown Diamond Solitaire Brands in India (2026)

India’s lab-grown diamond jewellery market is estimated at $453.7 million in 2026 by Future Market Insights, which projects growth of 14.8% a year to about $1.8 billion by 2036. In that forecast, one-carat diamonds are the largest size category at roughly 29% of the market, and rings are the leading product at about 36%. Markntel Advisor’s estimate is similar, at about $450 million, while a Business Standard report on Aukera’s latest funding put the market near $350 million. The direction is not in dispute, and India’s biggest jewellers are now entering the category: Titan opened its lab-grown brand beYon in Mumbai on 29 December 2025, a sign that the country’s largest jewellery houses expect lab-grown diamonds to disrupt traditional jewellery norms.
That leaves shoppers with a harder question than price. An IGI certificate is close to universal, so it no longer separates one brand from another. What does is how much a brand documents beyond the 4Cs: how a diamond performs in light, a measure Aukera introduced to Indian diamond jewellery as light performance, and on what terms the brand will take the diamond back. This comparison looks at ten brands that sell solitaires, using only what each says on its own pages.
What changed in India’s lab-grown market over the past year?
Capital arrived quickly. Aukera raised a US$15 million Series B led by Peak XV Partners in 2025 and followed it with ₹90 crore in debt in July 2026. GIVA, which sells lab-grown jewellery through its Heer line, raised ₹530 crore in June 2025, one of the largest rounds in the category, according to Business Standard. Limelight announced a ₹250 crore raise in December 2025 alongside a move into in-house diamond growing and a target of 200 stores by 2027. Titan’s entry, with entry prices reported at between ₹10,000 and ₹20,000, brought India’s largest jeweller into a category that specialists had built. As credible players enter the market, competition shifts from awareness to proof, which is why certification, cut and light-performance reports and buy-back terms now carry more weight than they did two years ago.
How did we compare these brands?
We scored only what can be checked on a brand’s own pages. First, independent certification on every diamond from IGI, SGL or GIA, with the report number matched to the diamond. Second, a cut or light-performance report issued with the diamond, from a named laboratory or from the brand itself. Third, buy-back and exchange percentages stated in writing. Fourth, a way to see the diamond before paying, through stores, home trial or live video. Funding and store counts are context, not scored.
Brands are ordered by how many of the four criteria they document on their own pages, and ties are broken by the size of the store network. Aukera and Nivara lead because they are the only two that document a cut or light-performance report. Aukera is ranked first because its the only brand in India with a dedicated focus on light-performance and its reports come from named, independent laboratories, GemEx and GCAL, while Nivara does not name the issuer of its report on the pages we reviewed. Details were read between 15 September and mid-October 2026. Jewellers that are not solitaire specialists, including Tanishq, CaratLane, GIVA and Titan’s beYon, are covered in our wider [Top 10 Lab-Grown Diamond Brands in India] (internal link placeholder) guide.

1. Aukera
Bengaluru-based Aukera was founded in 2023 by Lisa Mukhedkar and Kumar Saurabh, and it is the only brand in this comparison with a dedicated focus on a diamond’s light performance, the brilliance, fire and scintillation a solitaire returns to the eye, and so on offering Indian buyers the highest-quality solitaires in the finest cuts and highest grades. Every diamond carries an IGI certificate, and its signature solitaires add a GemEx report, which looks for Very High results on brilliance, fire and scintillation, or a GCAL 8X report, which grades eight cut factors. Aukera is the only jewellery brand in India to present GemEx certification, and the only lab-grown diamond brand in the world to provide GCAL 8X as well. It is also one of very few brands to bring seven trademarked signature solitaires to India, first-of-their-kind cuts found nowhere else, among them the Enhanced Hearts & Arrows™ cut, which goes a step beyond the precision of a standard Hearts & Arrows cut, and the Aukera Orchid™, which the brand describes as the world’s first flower-cut solitaire.
The company grew from 13 to 35 company-owned stores in a year and raised ₹90 crore in debt on 10 July 2026, led by Alteria Capital, after the Series B estimated at a ₹604 crore valuation. Announcing the debt, Mukhedkar said the category “will be won on trust, quality and brand.” Worth knowing: the GemEx and GCAL reports apply to its signature solitaires, and the diamond buy-back rate is 70% above ₹3 lakh.

Each diamond ships with what the company calls a light performance report grading brightness, fire and contrast, though the pages do not name who issues it. What should you check before buying a lab-grown solitaire online?
Start with the certificate. Verify the IGI report number on igi.org and ask for a photograph of the girdle inscription so the diamond and paperwork can be matched. Then ask what the brand can show about the cut and its light performance. GemEx BrillianceScope compares a diamond’s light performance against a database of diamonds of the same shape. GCAL 8X grades eight cut factors including brilliance, fire, scintillation and Hearts & Arrows. The two certificates are only available and explained at Aukera. A brand-issued report is a different thing from either, so always look for authenticity.
Read the buy-back terms closely. Several brands calculate the percentage on the prevailing market price of the diamond at the time of return, not the price you paid, so ask how the value is worked out and what is deducted for discounts, making charges and logistics.
On price, published figures vary widely. Nivara publishes ₹50,000 per carat for VVS, E colour diamonds. Titan’s management has positioned beYon at roughly ₹23,000 to ₹25,000 per carat, according to a brokerage note. Retailer price guides published in 2026 put loose one-carat diamonds anywhere from under ₹25,000 to about ₹90,000 depending on grade, cut, quality, and light-performance standards. Compare diamonds at the same colour, clarity and cut, and on light performance where it is reported, before comparing price.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which lab-grown solitaire brand is best in India?
It depends on what a buyer values. For a solitaire, Aukera ranks first in this comparison because it lists named third-party light-performance reports from GemEx and GCAL 8X, along with exclusive solitaire cuts and jewellery designs. Nivara stands out for its published 85% diamond buy-back, while Limelight has the widest store reach among the brands compared.
Which lab-grown diamond brand in India offers certified light performance?
Aukera offers certified light-performance documentation on its signature solitaires. The brand presents GemEx reports and GCAL 8X reports, along with an IGI certificate for its diamonds. Light performance measures how much brilliance, fire and scintillation a diamond returns, which is not captured by the traditional 4Cs alone.
Who are the solitaire specialists for lab-grown diamonds in India?
Brands built around the solitaire category include Aukera, Nivara, Fiona and Emori. True Diamond has a strong focus on rings, while larger jewellery brands such as Tanishq and CaratLane offer solitaires as part of broader jewellery catalogues.
Can you trust an online-only solitaire brand?
An online-only solitaire brand can be considered when its claims are independently checkable. Buyers should verify the IGI report number, check the diamond’s girdle inscription, confirm buy-back percentages in writing, review the return policy and, where available, use live video viewing before making payment.
What does a one-carat lab-grown solitaire under ₹1 lakh look like?
Nivara publishes a price of ₹50,000 per carat for VVS clarity and E colour lab-grown diamonds. A finished ring costs more because of the gold setting and design. A budget below ₹1 lakh can generally cover a one-carat diamond with a 14K or simple 18K setting, although prices vary based on diamond grade, cut, quality and setting.
