P N Gadgil & Sons Appoints Sonali Bendre as Brand Ambassador

Mumbai-based P N Gadgil & Sons (PNGS) has appointed Sonali Bendre as its new brand ambassador as the jewellery retailer looks to strengthen its brand positioning among modern Indian consumers while continuing to emphasise its legacy and heritage.

The campaign, launched on May 8, features Sonali Bendre as the face of PNGS’s flagship brand identity across its mangalsutra and traditional jewellery collections. The company said the campaign focuses on celebrating the emotional and cultural connection between Indian women and jewellery.

Founded in 1832 in Sangli, Maharashtra, PNGS is one of India’s oldest jewellery brands with a legacy spanning over 192 years. The company has expanded into a pan-India retail network and is known for its hallmarked and BIS-certified gold jewellery offerings.

Speaking on the announcement, Aditya Modak, CFO and COO of PNGS, said,

“Welcoming Sonali Bendre as our Brand Ambassador is a natural extension of our promise of trust built over generations. She embodies the grace, strength, and cultural pride that define the women who wear our jewellery.”

Commenting on the partnership, Sonali Bendre said,

“Jewellery for Indian women has always been about identity, memory, and love passed down through generations. P N Gadgil and Sons understands this deeply, which is what drew me to this partnership.”

The collaboration comes at a time when India’s organised jewellery market is witnessing increased competition from legacy players and new-age branded retailers focusing on trust, design innovation, and digital-first consumer engagement. Brands across the sector are increasingly partnering with celebrities and influencers to strengthen emotional storytelling and connect with younger buyers.
