MobiKwik Payments GMV Grows 35% to ₹59,677 Crore

MobiKwik’s platform GMV reached an all-time quarterly high of ₹59,677 crore in Q2 FY27, up 35% from ₹44,114 crore in the year-ago quarter.

Consumer payments accounted for ₹46,375 crore of the GMV, while the remaining volume came from merchant payments and payment gateway transactions. Merchant Payments revenue increased 150% year-on-year, according to the company.

The payments business also reported an improved gross margin of 38.2%, compared with 29.4% in Q2 FY26. Contribution profit across the company’s payments and financial services businesses rose 50% year-on-year to ₹143.9 crore.

MobiKwik’s lending business also crossed the ₹1,000 crore quarterly disbursal mark. Lending disbursals increased 34% year-on-year to ₹1,082.6 crore, compared with ₹807.1 crore in Q2 FY26. Credit partner assets under management rose 19% to ₹1,488 crore, while activated credit users increased to 1.74 million from 1.42 million.

Gross profit from financial services more than doubled to ₹57.1 crore from ₹25.6 crore in the year-ago quarter. The net financial services margin improved to 5.27% from 3.17%.

Lower Expenses Support MobiKwik’s Profitability

MobiKwik reported EBITDA of ₹22.7 crore in Q2 FY27, compared with an EBITDA loss of ₹6.4 crore in Q2 FY26. The company said this was its highest-ever quarterly EBITDA, while the EBITDA margin improved to 7.5% from -2.3% a year earlier.

Total expenses declined 1.8% year-on-year to ₹290.9 crore. Payment-related expenses fell 13% year-on-year, partly due to changes in the payments mix, while lending-related expenses also declined.

At the same time, employee benefit expenses increased 59% year-on-year to ₹56.2 crore as MobiKwik invested in expanding its merchant business and new business segments. The company also recorded ₹28.3 crore in financial guarantee costs.

The year-ago quarter had also included an exceptional charge related to alleged fraudulent merchant settlements, which did not recur in Q2 FY27.

MobiKwik is also increasing the use of AI across its operations. The company said 92% of its code was generated through AI during the quarter, while 91% of customer queries were resolved through its Help LLM. It is targeting an AI-first organisation by FY28. These operational metrics are based on the company’s internal management data.

MobiKwik Co-founder, MD and CEO Bipin Preet Singh said the company’s fourth consecutive profitable quarter, the ₹1,000 crore lending-disbursal milestone and 150% growth in merchant-payment revenue reflected the expansion of its core businesses. He also said the company expects cost optimisation, operating efficiency and greater AI adoption to support operating leverage as it scales.

For the six months ended September 2026, MobiKwik reported revenue of ₹577.2 crore and net profit of ₹19.4 crore, compared with revenue of ₹541.6 crore and a net loss of ₹70.5 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Shares of One MobiKwik Systems closed around 5.5% higher at ₹225.85 on November 2, following the Q2 results.
