SUMMARY
  • Ottonomy raised ₹40.6 crore in a post-seed funding round, with participation from Japan-based Enrission India Capital.
  • The startup develops Ottobot, an autonomous delivery robot designed for indoor and outdoor operations across hospitals, airports and industrial facilities.
  • The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its global presence across healthcare and industrial automation.

AI-powered robotics startup Ottonomy has raised approximately ₹40.6 crore ($4.2 million) in a post-seed funding round, with Japan-based venture capital firm Enrission India Capital participating in the investment.

The fresh capital will support Ottonomy’s global expansion across healthcare and industrial automation, where enterprises are exploring autonomous systems to manage internal logistics and address workforce constraints.

Founded in 2020, Ottonomy develops autonomous delivery robots designed to transport medicines, medical equipment, laboratory samples and other supplies across indoor and outdoor environments.

Its flagship product, Ottobot, uses the company’s proprietary Contextual AI technology to navigate complex facilities and carry out deliveries with minimal human intervention.

About Ottonomy

Ottonomy’s robots are designed for environments such as hospitals, airports, industrial campuses and other large facilities where materials need to move between buildings, floors and operational areas.

In healthcare settings, the robots can transport medicines, laboratory samples and medical supplies between departments. Automating these routine logistics tasks can reduce the time healthcare staff spend moving materials and allow them to focus on patient-related responsibilities.

The company has also developed Ottumn.AI, a software platform designed to coordinate robots, drones and connected infrastructure. It enables enterprises to manage autonomous operations across facilities through a common platform, rather than operating individual robots as isolated systems.

Ottonomy is headquartered in the US and operates a production facility in Noida. The company has deployments across North America, Europe, the Middle East and India. It follows a Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) model, through which enterprise customers can access its robots and supporting software through subscriptions rather than purchasing the hardware outright.

Enrission India Capital Backs Ottonomy’s Global Expansion

Enrission India Capital is a Japan-based venture capital firm investing in early-stage Indian companies, primarily from Seed to Series B. Its investment focus includes consumer businesses, logistics, climate technology and enterprise technology. The firm also works with portfolio companies exploring international markets, particularly Japan.

Ottonomy’s earlier investors include pi Ventures, CoreNest Capital, Connetic Ventures, Wellstar Catalyst and ADR Ventures, among others. The company has previously raised capital through seed and subsequent funding rounds to develop its autonomous robotics technology and expand deployments.

The latest investment comes as Ottonomy looks to increase deployments across healthcare and industrial facilities. Its focus is on automating the movement of goods within complex environments, where conventional delivery systems often depend on employees moving between departments, buildings and operational areas.
