Pune-based last-mile delivery startup Dispatch Network has raised ₹5 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Antler India.

Angel investors Krishi Fagwani, founder of Thrive, Yashin Mahadevia and Parth Modwadhia also participated in the round.

The fresh capital will be used to expand Dispatch’s artificial intelligence (AI) team and develop its proprietary Large Logistics Spatio-Temporal Model (LLSTM), which the company describes as a foundation AI model for intracity logistics and mobility. Dispatch also plans to build capacity to handle 50,000 orders per day across five cities.

Founded by Rajit Arya and Navneeth Kannan, Dispatch operates an AI-powered last-mile delivery network that coordinates orders across multiple platforms. Its system determines which order a rider should take next and where the rider should position themselves for subsequent orders, with the aim of reducing idle time and travel without an active delivery.

About Dispatch Network

Dispatch began operations in Pune in June 2026 and has completed more than one lakh deliveries since launch, according to the company.

Monthly delivery volumes increased from 3,014 in June to 55,000 in October. The startup currently handles around 3,500 deliveries per day and plans to expand to Mumbai in November.

Dispatch says its model has reduced empty kilometres by two-thirds. It also claims that riders on its network earn around 55% more per month than the industry average, while rider retention is 80% higher than the industry benchmark. These figures are based on company claims and have not been independently verified.

The startup currently serves food delivery and quick-commerce platforms including Zomato, Swiggy, Zepto, Instamart and BigBasket. It also works with restaurants and merchants through direct API integrations and the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC).

Funding to Build AI Logistics Model

The latest funding will support the development of LLSTM, which Dispatch intends to use for order allocation, rider positioning and other intracity logistics decisions.

The model is designed to use delivery, rider-location and city-level movement data to improve how orders are sequenced across the network. Dispatch says its technology can help reduce unproductive kilometres while improving rider utilisation.

With the new capital, the startup plans to expand its AI team and increase its operational capacity to 50,000 daily orders across five cities.

After Pune, Mumbai is expected to be the next market, followed by further city expansion.
