Bengaluru-based preventive pain-care startup betterhood has raised ₹11.5 crore in a seed funding round led by consumer-focused venture capital firm Sauce VC, with participation from existing investor Kairon Capital.

The latest round comes around six months after betterhood raised ₹5 crore in seed funding led by Kairon Capital, with participation from consumer entrepreneurs and angel investors. With the two rounds, the startup has publicly reported raising ₹16.5 crore in funding in 2026.

Founded by Vikram Kadam and Neha Zade, betterhood is building a consumer brand around what it describes as preventive pain care. Its products target areas including posture, back, knee, ankle and wrist support, along with pain relief and recovery.

The company plans to use the latest capital to expand its product portfolio, increase distribution across quick-commerce and modern retail, and scale its content and physiotherapist community. It also plans to strengthen its product development and growth teams.

Betterhood estimates that the product categories it currently operates in represent a market of around ₹20,000 crore in India. The company puts the broader opportunity, including adjacent areas such as rehabilitation, fitness tools and personalised nutrition, at around ₹35,000 crore. These are company estimates rather than independently verified market sizes.

Beyond physical products, betterhood is developing an education and community layer. It publishes content around posture, movement and recovery and has built Physio Circle, a professional community for physiotherapists. The company said the community has more than 7,000 physiotherapists. Its public community page currently describes a 5,000-plus community of physiotherapists and students.

The startup has also developed tools and programmes around its broader preventive-care proposition. These include Slouch Catcher, a posture-awareness tool, and The Physio Edge, a certification programme for early-career physiotherapists developed with sports scientist Shayamal Vallabhjee.

At the time of its March funding round, betterhood said it had served more than 60,000 customers and created more than 1,000 pieces of educational content. The company had also planned to expand its offline presence through physiotherapy clinics, running communities and wellness stores.

The founding team also includes Manoranjan Nayak and Subhanandan Palit, who are involved across business, operations, marketplace expansion, content and channel growth. Shayamal Vallabhjee serves as chief science officer and brings experience across human performance, elite sport and chronic health, according to the company.
