Natural Sweetener Startup The Sweet Change Raises INR 1.7 Crore in Pre-Seed Funding
The Sweet Change is a natural sweetener startup developing gut-friendly, sugar-free alternatives using ingredients such as monk fruit, allulose, and prebiotic fibre for health-conscious consumers.

Natural sweetener startup The Sweet Change has secured ₹1.7 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Rebalance, as the company looks to strengthen its presence in India’s rapidly growing sugar alternatives market.
The fresh capital will be used to expand distribution, launch new products, and further the company’s mission of helping consumers reduce sugar consumption without compromising on taste.
Founded in 2024 by Manvi Agnihotri and Sheen Hitaishi, The Sweet Change has developed what it describes as India’s first gut-friendly monk fruit sweetener, formulated using monk fruit, allulose, and prebiotic guar fibre.
The brand was inspired by Agnihotri’s experience as a clinical nutritionist, where she worked with more than 12,000 patients dealing with diabetes, PCOS, obesity, and insulin resistance. Through her practice, she identified a significant gap in the market for healthier and more trustworthy sugar alternatives.
Within a year of launch, the company claims to have generated over ₹1.69 crore in revenue and fulfilled more than 15,000 orders. It also reported an 84% month-on-month compounded growth rate over the last three months. Following the launch of its sweetener drops in March 2026, monthly revenue reportedly grew from ₹8 lakh to ₹50 lakh while maintaining gross margins of around 75%.
The company is currently ranked among the emerging sweetener brands on Amazon India and is working towards building a broader portfolio of natural sugar alternatives for Indian consumers.
Prior to this round, The Sweet Change had also raised ₹70 lakh in funding led by IAN Angel Fund, with participation from Udaan Angel Partners.
