KISAH Raises ₹35.9 Cr Funding From Fireside Ventures At ₹211 Cr Valuation
KISAH reported ₹65 crore in FY26 revenue while remaining profitable, operating 12 stores across multiple Indian cities, with physical retail expected to contribute 25–30% of revenue in FY27.

Kolkata-based omnichannel menswear brand KISAH has raised ₹35.9 crore (around $3.7 million) in a Series A funding round led by Fireside Ventures, valuing the company at approximately ₹211 crore post-money. Fireside contributed ₹34 crore, with the balance expected from individual investors.
The company plans to deploy most of the fresh capital towards expanding its offline retail network, alongside investments in supply chain operations, warehousing, technology and backend infrastructure. KISAH is also developing a retail expansion model that could increasingly rely on franchise partners.
Before the latest round, KISAH had raised approximately ₹13 crore from investors including Sagar Daryani, founder of Wow! Momo, Apoorv Salarpuria of the Salarpuria Group and Inflection Point Ventures.
Founded in 2018 by Yash Sarawagi, KISAH was initially built around a marketplace-led business model before expanding into direct-to-consumer sales and physical retail. The company is associated with co-founders Yash Sarawagi, Yashwi Ladasaria and Saurav Kothari.
KISAH offers ethnic and occasion wear for men and children, targeting wedding guests and consumers seeking contemporary alternatives to conventional occasion wear. Its catalogue includes kurtas and sherwanis alongside modern styles such as bomber jackets, flared trousers and sneakers.
The brand sells through online marketplaces including Myntra, Amazon and AJIO, alongside its own website and physical stores. It targets the premium end of online ethnicwear while positioning its products below the price points of many traditional offline brands.
According to Sarawagi, KISAH products sell for an average of around ₹4,000 on Myntra, compared with approximately ₹1,000 for the platform’s broader ethnicwear category.
The company entered physical retail in 2025 with a store in Kolkata’s Gariahat neighbourhood. The outlet generated around ₹45–50 lakh during its first partial year of operations and subsequently reached annual sales of approximately ₹70 lakh, according to the co-founders.
Following the initial response, KISAH opened a flagship store in Bengaluru’s Indiranagar in September 2025 and another at Hyderabad’s Sarath City in November that year. It currently operates 12 stores across Bengaluru, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Visakhapatnam and other markets.
The startup plans to strengthen its presence in existing cities, expand further in Bengaluru and explore markets such as Jaipur. Over the next 12–18 months, it also intends to integrate its online and offline channels to offer customers a more unified shopping experience.
KISAH reported revenue of ₹65 crore in FY26 while remaining profitable, with an EBITDA margin of around 5–6%, according to the company. It expects revenue to exceed ₹100 crore in FY27, implying year-on-year growth of approximately 70%.
Offline retail is expected to play a key role in this expansion. The company projects its retail business to grow four to five times in FY27 and contribute 25–30% of total revenue.
Currently, the direct-to-consumer channel contributes around 20% of KISAH’s business, while marketplaces account for most of its online sales. International markets contribute approximately 8–10% of revenue, with the US serving as its largest overseas market.
In the longer term, KISAH aims to build a network of around 100 stores and reach ₹500 crore in revenue before expanding into broader product categories. The latest funding will support its transition from a largely online-led brand to an omnichannel business with a more substantial physical retail footprint.
