Men’s ethnicwear brand Kisah Apparels has raised Rs 13 crore (~$1.52 million) in a pre-Series A funding round led by Wow! Momo founder Sagar Daryani, with participation from Apoorv Salarpuria, Rahul Todi, Vinod Dugar, and Inflection Point Ventures.
The funds will be used to scale the brand’s direct-to-consumer (D2C) operations, expand offline retail presence, and invest in brand-building initiatives, according to a press statement from the company.
Founded in 2018 by Yash Sarawagi and Yashwi Ladasaria, Kolkata-based Kisah Apparels offers high-fashion ethnicwear for Gen Z and millennial consumers at accessible prices.
Initially operating with a marketplace-first model, the brand is now transitioning into a robust omnichannel player, currently running two physical stores, with three more outlets in the pipeline across major Indian cities.
