Men’s ethnicwear brand Kisah Apparels has raised Rs 13 crore (~$1.52 million) in a pre-Series A funding round led by Wow! Momo founder Sagar Daryani, with participation from Apoorv Salarpuria, Rahul Todi, Vinod Dugar, and Inflection Point Ventures.

The funds will be used to scale the brand’s direct-to-consumer (D2C) operations, expand offline retail presence, and invest in brand-building initiatives, according to a press statement from the company.

Founded in 2018 by Yash Sarawagi and Yashwi Ladasaria, Kolkata-based Kisah Apparels offers high-fashion ethnicwear for Gen Z and millennial consumers at accessible prices.

Initially operating with a marketplace-first model, the brand is now transitioning into a robust omnichannel player, currently running two physical stores, with three more outlets in the pipeline across major Indian cities.

Kisah has developed in-house systems to analyze data from its marketplace and D2C operations, helping optimize product design, supply chain, sourcing, and marketing strategies.

The company reports growth from Rs 40–45 crore to a current run rate of over Rs 100 crore, while maintaining positive operating cash flow and profitability.
