Alive App Raises $1 Million Seed Funding Led by Powerhouse Ventures

Bengaluru-based experience-tech startup Alive App has raised $1 million in seed funding, with Powerhouse Ventures leading the round and Flipkart Ventures participating.

The company plans to use the capital to expand its experience catalogue, strengthen its technology and supply infrastructure, and increase repeat usage of the platform.

The latest round follows ₹6 crore in funding announced in November 2025, which was backed by Powerhouse Ventures along with angel investors and operators. At the time, Alive had more than 125 curated experiences and was operating in Bengaluru and Hyderabad, with Goa planned as its next market.

Founded in 2023 by Vivek Kumar, Alive operates an AI-powered experience-tech platform for discovering and booking activities across categories including adventure, food, wellness, art, culture and learning. The company works with creators and partners to design, build and distribute experiences rather than functioning only as a conventional listings marketplace.

Alive is now present across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and Goa, with more than 500 experiences listed through a network of over 400 creators and partners. The company said it is adding approximately 100 new experiences every month. It expanded into Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi over the past six months while continuing its operations in Goa.

The startup has also reported its first profitable quarter in Bengaluru, its first and largest market. According to the company, experience supply in Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi and Goa is growing five times faster than during its initial expansion phase. More than 90% of bookings are for local experiences, indicating that a significant share of activity on the platform is linked to consumers looking for experiences within their own cities rather than primarily as part of travel. These are company-reported figures.

Alive is targeting threefold revenue growth over the next few months, with the latest capital expected to support product and technology development, expansion of its experience supply and efforts to increase booking frequency. The revenue target is a company projection rather than reported performance.

The company had previously described its model as a full-stack experience platform, with technology supporting creator onboarding, experience design, content management and consumer discovery. In its November 2025 funding announcement, Alive said it had partnered with businesses and venues including The Leela Palace, Embassy International Riding School, Prestige Golfshire and the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence.

The company said its longer-term objective is to make experience discovery a more regular part of urban leisure spending rather than an activity associated mainly with travel or occasional outings.
