Nykaa Adds Simply Nam to Its Premium Makeup Portfolio
Founded in 2020 by makeup artist Namrata Soni and venture studio Bozzil, Simply Nam develops makeup products designed around Indian skin tones, climate and everyday beauty requirements. The company being acquired, Simply Nam Beauty Private Limited, was incorporated in July 2022.
Soni has more than two decades of experience in the beauty industry, working with Bollywood celebrities, influencers and brides. She also runs a makeup and hair academy. Her professional experience and understanding of consumer makeup requirements form the foundation of the brand’s product development approach.
Simply Nam’s portfolio includes products across eye makeup, face makeup, lip products and beauty tools. Some of its products include multi-use kajal, cream blush, lip and cheek products, makeup remover towels and other everyday makeup essentials. The brand describes its formulations as vegan and cruelty-free, with products developed for Indian skin tones and climatic conditions.
The acquisition will also give Simply Nam access to Nykaa’s distribution network, customer base, retail infrastructure and marketing capabilities.
Simply Nam will occupy a higher price segment of approximately ₹1,250-₹2,000, with a focus on professional makeup artistry, expert-led product development and formulations. This gives Nykaa a wider price and positioning range across its owned makeup brands.

Simply Nam reported a turnover of ₹16.99 crore in FY26, compared with ₹9.61 crore in FY25 and ₹3.70 crore in FY24. The brand’s turnover has increased more than fourfold over the two-year period.
