Zomint Raises ₹36 Cr Seed Round Led by Lightspeed and Prime Venture Partners

Gurugram-based wealthtech startup Zomint has raised ₹36 crore (about $3.75 million) in a seed funding round led by Lightspeed and Prime Venture Partners.

The company plans to use the capital to expand its wealth and investment teams, strengthen its technology platform and build an investor education ecosystem.

Founded by Aman Mittal and Shavir Bansal in September 2025, Zomint is building a human-led wealth management platform for Indian professionals and families. The company combines dedicated wealth experts with an investment team and technology-enabled research and AI tools to provide personalised investment guidance and portfolio monitoring. Lightspeed lists Zomint as a 2026-founded company and has recorded its investment in the startup at the seed stage.

Zomint’s model is designed for investors who want professional support rather than managing their investments entirely through self-directed platforms. According to the latest funding information, clients can start with a monthly SIP of ₹25,000 or a lump-sum investment of ₹5 lakh. Each family is assigned a wealth expert who works with the client on investment decisions and longer-term financial goals.

The company’s technology layer supports research, portfolio analysis and monitoring. Zomint says its system can analyse portfolio holdings, concentration, sector exposure and overlap, assess factors such as consistency, downside risk and costs, and flag allocation or fund-level changes that may require attention. Its investment team reviews such alerts before recommendations are made to clients.

Zomint’s current offering includes portfolio reviews, mutual fund investing, global investing and gold and silver funds. Its website describes the platform as an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor and says investments remain in the investor’s name, with transactions requiring client approval.

The startup has also built its customer acquisition strategy around the financial-content community created by its founders. Shavir Bansal is the founder of Bekifaayati, a financial education platform that Zomint says has more than 50 lakh subscribers across platforms. The company has said customer acquisition since launch has been driven through organic content from this community.

Zomint has reported 97% client retention since its launch. It also said nearly one in three clients made additional investments within three months of joining, while its relationship managers currently serve more than 250 families each. These figures have been reported by the company and have not been independently verified.

Aman Mittal is Zomint’s Co-Founder and CEO, while Shavir Bansal is its Co-Founder and COO. Mittal is an IIT Delhi alumnus and has previously worked with Flipkart, Pine Labs and Ula. Bansal is an IIM Calcutta alumnus, has worked in corporate and investment banking at Kotak, and founded Bekifaayati.
