Hyderabad-based nutraceutical ingredient manufacturer Zeus Hygia has raised $2.5 million in a Series A funding round led by NABVENTURES, the venture capital arm of NABARD.
The company plans to utilize the funding to scale global operations, strengthen its research and development capabilities, and accelerate innovation in pain relief, weight management, women’s health, and healthy aging solutions.
Founded in 2018 by Arunkanth Krishnakumar and Shankaranarayanan Jeyakodi, Zeus Hygia is a research-focused B2B manufacturer that develops patented, clinically validated herbal extracts for pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and OTC wellness brands.
The startup currently serves clients in over 15 countries and operates at the intersection of science and plant-based nutrition.

The company’s product suite includes eight proprietary branded ingredients such as BioSOLVE Curcumin, Grantria, and Stadice, with several more in the pipeline.
Zeus Hygia holds nine patents and boasts over 20 scientific publications. It also leverages five proprietary platform technologies to deliver safe and effective natural ingredients.
Zeus Hygia is expanding aggressively in North America through its U.S. arm and growing its presence in Southeast Asia and the MENA region via strategic collaborations and joint development projects. The company expects 70% of its revenue to be driven by international markets within the next three years.
