Utsav Raises ₹36 Cr in Series A Round Led by Atomic Capital
Utsav currently claims to fulfil around 2.5 lakh orders every month, while its revenue has grown eightfold since its previous funding round.

Kolkata-based spiritual and devotional services startup Utsav has raised ₹36 crore (approximately $3.8 million) in a Series A funding round led by Atomic Capital, with existing investors India Quotient and Equanimity Investments also participating.
The latest investment takes Utsav’s total capital raised to around ₹42 crore. The startup had previously raised ₹6.35 crore in January 2025, following an earlier ₹2 crore investment from India Quotient in 2023.
Founded in 2021 by Sourajit Basu, Ankita De and Prajata Samanta, Utsav operates a digital platform connecting devotees with temple priests, scholars and acharyas. Its offerings include puja bookings, pujari consultations, e-prasad, consecrated prasad and personalised rituals, allowing users to access temple services remotely.
The fresh capital will be used to strengthen Utsav’s product and technology infrastructure, expand its temple network, improve fulfilment capabilities and grow its team. The startup also plans to expand its services for the Indian diaspora over the next 12 to 24 months, enabling devotees living overseas to arrange rituals at temples in India and receive consecrated offerings.
Utsav currently claims to fulfil around 2.5 lakh orders every month, while its revenue has grown eightfold since its previous funding round. The company plans to invest further in technology, personalisation, discovery, logistics and fulfilment as it expands its platform.
“Our most loyal devotees now book rituals every few days across several temples, and the messages they send us after a puja are the real measure of what we have built. This round lets us serve that devotion at scale, with trust, authenticity and the spirit of bhakti at the heart of every experience,” Utsav co-founder and CEO Sourajit Basu said.
The company works with temples and religious practitioners to bring traditional devotional services onto a digital platform. Its expansion strategy involves adding more temple partnerships and devotional services while building the technology and fulfilment infrastructure required to serve users across India and overseas.
The funding comes as India’s faith-tech and spiritual-tech startups expands beyond online astrology and consultations into digital temple services, online pujas, prasad delivery, spiritual commerce and religious experiences.
Utsav’s latest round follows growing investor activity in the category. AppsForBharat, the parent company of Sri Mandir, raised ₹175 crore in a Series C round in July 2025, while spiritual-tech platform VAMA raised ₹22 crore in a pre-Series A round in September 2025. These businesses are similarly using technology to make religious services and experiences accessible to users beyond their physical locations.
