The goal of this effort was to train unskilled women to work within the factory driving heavy vehicles, mobile equipment, etc., welding, gas-cutting, and other jobs. The Government of India has recognised Tejaswinis by awarding them the Prime Minister’s “Shram Veerangana” and “Shram Devi” awards. The President of India acknowledged it.
