TailBlaze Longevity Raises $300,000 Pre-Seed Funding From Comma Capital

Pet nutrition startup TailBlaze Longevity has raised $300,000 in pre-seed funding from US-based venture capital firm Comma Capital, according to the company.

The Ahmedabad-based startup is focused on canine nutrition and longevity and is preparing for the wider rollout of its first major product, HeartPour.

Founded by Manaal Maniyar and Palak Devpura, TailBlaze is building a pet wellness brand around high-protein, lower-carbohydrate nutrition for dogs. The company was founded in 2025, with its product development work rooted in several years of research and experimentation around canine nutrition.

The fresh capital will be used to support the launch of HeartPour and expand the company’s team in Ahmedabad. TailBlaze has opened 500 launch slots for pet parents, with customer engagement and feedback for the initial cohort being managed through WhatsApp. The company is also hiring across marketing, operations and other functions as it builds its Ahmedabad-based team.

HeartPour is a ready-to-serve wet dog food designed to be fed on its own or poured over food already given to dogs, including home-cooked meals and kibble. TailBlaze says the product was developed over four years and combines real-food ingredients with a PanchTatva blend containing ingredients such as curcumin, black pepper, parsley, amla and tulsi. The product also contains functional ingredients including glucosamine, chondroitin, omega 3-6-9, prebiotics and postbiotics.

The company has developed FreshTail, its proprietary technology for producing shelf-stable fresh pet meals. TailBlaze currently describes HeartPour as a fresh wet food that is slow retort-cooked and does not require refrigeration before opening. Its website says the FreshTail technology provides up to 15 months of freshness.

TailBlaze’s broader product portfolio includes dog food, treats and other pet-care products, while its current strategy is increasingly centred on canine longevity. The company operates a WhatsApp-first commerce model and has also been building distribution through quick-commerce platforms including Blinkit and BBNow, according to its latest company and industry disclosures.

The startup’s longevity positioning is based on the idea that improved nutrition can contribute to better long-term health for dogs. TailBlaze has stated an ambition of adding three to five years to dogs’ lives, but this should be treated as the company’s stated goal rather than an established clinical outcome.

TailBlaze was also featured on Bharat Ke Superfounders, where the founders presented the story behind the company and its focus on canine nutrition. The show’s website describes TailBlaze as an organic pet nutrition brand focused on helping dogs live healthier and longer lives.

The company is currently focused on building its customer base, collecting feedback from early users and establishing its longevity-focused pet nutrition proposition in India.
