Scooby’s Club Raises $250K Pre-Seed Funding to Expand Dog-Care Hubs in Bengaluru
The startup is targeting a gap in India's fragmented pet-care market, particularly for working professionals and urban pet parents who need reliable care for their dogs.

Bengaluru-based dog-care startup Scooby’s Club has raised $250,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by TDV Partners.
The fresh capital will be used to open 2 new properties across Bengaluru over the next 6 to 12 months, while also helping the startup hire and train canine coaches as it scales its expert-led care model. In the longer term, Scooby’s Club plans to build a network of 100 properties across major Indian cities.
Founded in 2025 by Animeha Singh and Ankit Gupta, both XLRI Jamshedpur alumni with around nine years of experience each in the startup ecosystem, Scooby’s Club operates professionally managed neighbourhood facilities offering free-roam dog daycare, overnight stays and spa services. Its offerings also include puppy preschool and behaviour training. Animeha Singh has also studied canine behaviour and has expertise in dog psychology and behavioural science.
The startup is targeting a gap in India’s fragmented pet-care market, particularly for working professionals and urban pet parents who need reliable care for their dogs during workdays, travel or other commitments. Its model is built around bringing professionally managed facilities closer to residential neighbourhoods rather than relying primarily on traditional boarding or homestay options.
Scooby’s Club combines canine behavioural principles with purpose-built indoor spaces. According to the company, every dog undergoes vaccination, tick and flea checks and temperament assessment before joining the facility, with dogs grouped according to factors such as size and temperament to support safer socialisation.
Its facilities are fully indoor and climate-controlled, with the company using sound, scent, colour and play-based elements for mental enrichment. The startup also offers personalised and allergen-aware care, while pet parents can access 24×7 CCTV to monitor their dogs.
The startup’s longer-term plan is to build 100 properties across major Indian cities, using a neighbourhood-led model to bring organised dog care closer to pet owners. For now, Bengaluru remains its primary expansion market, with two additional properties planned over the next six to 12 months.
TDV Partners founder and general partner Ujwal Sutaria said India’s pet economy is being shaped by rising disposable incomes, changing lifestyles and increasing pet adoption, while pet owners are becoming more willing to spend on their pets’ health, happiness and everyday care. He said Scooby’s Club stood out for its focus on canine wellbeing, safety and convenience through a neighbourhood-led model.
Scooby’s Club co-founder Animeha Singh said the company was created after the founders experienced the difficulty of finding trustworthy places to leave their own dogs. She said the startup is seeking to create neighbourhood spaces where dogs are “safe, understood and genuinely happy.”
