Protein Snacking Brand Phab Raises $4 Million in Pre-Series A Round

Protein-focused snacking brand Phab has raised $4 million in a pre-Series A funding round co-led by OTP Ventures and Chona Family Office.

The latest investment comes after the company secured $2 million in seed funding in 2025 from OTP Ventures, Capri Global, Sim&San Law Firm, and a group of angel investors.

The newly raised capital will be used to strengthen brand awareness, expand into newer markets, enhance distribution capabilities, and build a larger team to support the company’s next phase of growth.

Founded in 2022 by Gayatri Chona and Ankit Chona, Phab is a nutrition-focused food brand offering protein-rich and calorie-conscious snack products. Gayatri Chona, a clinical nutritionist and health coach, leads product development and nutritional innovation, while Ankit Chona brings experience in food retail and manufacturing to scale operations and strengthen distribution.

Operating under Simpl Innovative Brands Private Limited, Phab’s portfolio includes protein milkshakes, protein bars, energy bars, granola, protein powders, and millet-based snacks. The company focuses on creating products with high nutritional value while avoiding artificial sweeteners, preservatives, and trans fats.

The Mumbai-based startup has built an omnichannel presence across online and offline retail channels. According to the company, offline distribution through modern trade and general trade contributes nearly half of its revenue. Phab has also expanded its reach through quick-commerce platforms and dark stores, while increasing its presence across Tier II and Tier III markets in India.
