Grosvenor and EIH London Investments Ltd have announced that Oberoi Hotels & Resorts will debut its first luxury hotel in the UK, set in London’s prestigious Mayfair district.
The new hotel, located at 40-46 Brook Street, will be a flagship boutique destination, showcasing Oberoi’s signature design and renowned service.
The hotel will be part of Grosvenor’s South Molton development, a transformative mixed-use project in London’s West End.
The development, which obtained planning permission in 2022, encompasses the 33,000 sq. ft. listed building and features a range of facilities, including offices, residential spaces, shops, restaurants, cafés, and public leisure areas.
At the heart of the South Molton project is a 267,000 sq. ft. joint venture between Grosvenor and Mitsui Fudosan UK, which will introduce two state-of-the-art office buildings on Brook Street and Davies Street, set to attract corporate headquarters to this prime location.
The South Molton area is expected to generate £6.5 million in annual spending and create 1,000 permanent jobs, alongside 450 jobs and apprenticeships during construction. Work began in November 2023, with the full project slated for completion by the end of 2027.
