Meta India has appointed Arun Srinivas as the new Managing Director and Head of India Operations, effective July 1, 2025.
Srinivas, who currently heads the Ads Business at Meta India, will now be responsible for overseeing business strategy, client relationships, and long-term revenue growth across the company’s India portfolio.
In his current role, Srinivas has been instrumental in scaling Meta’s advertising ecosystem, with a sharp focus on AI, Reels, and Messaging.
His transition into the top India role comes as Sandhya Devanathan, Vice President for India and Southeast Asia, expands her portfolio to include regional oversight. Srinivas will report directly to Devanathan, continuing their collaboration to build Meta’s commercial success in India.
Srinivas brings nearly three decades of leadership experience, having held senior roles at Unilever, Reebok, Ola, and WestBridge Capital.

His track record includes driving product innovation, scaling marketing strategies, and strengthening partner ecosystems.
A postgraduate from IIM Kolkata, Srinivas joined Meta in 2020 and has since led strategic advertiser relationships, deepening Meta’s integration with brands and agencies.
The appointment comes at a critical juncture, as Meta continues to navigate regulatory scrutiny in India. In late 2024, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) fined Meta for antitrust violations, restricting WhatsApp from sharing user data across Meta’s platforms for advertising purposes for five years. Amid these challenges, Srinivas’ appointment signals Meta’s intent to double down on trust-building, market expansion, and scalable innovation in India.
