Lickicious Raises ₹19 Cr in Growth Capital Led by Prath Ventures

Pet food and nutrition brand Lickicious has raised ₹19 crore in growth capital through a combination of equity and institutional debt, with Prath Ventures leading the institutional investment, as the company looks to expand its manufacturing capacity, product portfolio and sales footprint.

The funding will be deployed across three priorities capacity, capability and category as Lickicious moves from a digital-first pet food business towards a broader, multi-category and omnichannel pet nutrition company.

A major part of the expansion will be the development of a 60,000 sq ft manufacturing and distribution footprint. The facility is expected to increase production capacity, improve supply reliability and give the company greater control over product quality as it scales.

The company will also invest in research and development, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, branding and commercial capabilities. Its product portfolio is set to expand across new products, formats and species, while its sales network will broaden beyond its existing digital channels.

Founded in 2024 by Shashwat Sahai and Chandan Jha, Lickicious operates under Nuvexo Wellness Pvt Ltd and develops food and nutrition products for dogs and cats. The company focuses on palatability, transparent nutrition and product quality.

Lickicious currently follows a digital-first model, with its products available through its own platform and online marketplaces. The company now plans to build an omnichannel presence, expanding its reach across additional sales channels as it broadens its product range. Its current portfolio includes pet food, treats, supplements and nutritional products for dogs and cats.

The latest round also includes backing from ISV Capital, the founders of Atomberg Technologies and senior industry executives, who are among Lickicious’ early supporters.

Lickicious is targeting ₹100 crore in annual revenue as its next major milestone. The company has also set a longer-term ambition of becoming one of India’s top three pet-food companies over the next decade.

Prath Ventures Managing Partner Harmanpreet Singh said India’s pet-food market is increasingly shifting from a distribution-led model towards one driven by product quality and consumer trust. He said Lickicious had demonstrated an understanding of Indian pet parents along with a differentiated product proposition and disciplined execution across digital channels.
