Legal-tech startup Lawyered raised $2.5 million in a Pre-Series A round, led by Rainmatter by Zerodha and Turbostart, with participation from existing investor Finvolve.
The company plans to utilise the fresh capital to enhance its technology stack, strengthen product capabilities, and drive user growth, with a sharper focus on advancing its AI-led features.
Founded in 2017 by Himanshu Gupta, Lawyered operates a platform designed to provide on-demand legal assistance for vehicle owners, drivers, and logistics operators. Its offerings include roadside legal support and traffic challan management, aimed at simplifying compliance and reducing legal friction in mobility.
The Gurugram-based startup is building a proactive legal infrastructure layer that helps individuals and businesses address legal risks before they escalate. Its platform integrates automation and AI to streamline issue resolution, minimise penalties, and improve operational continuity.
Lawyered claims to cover over 2 million vehicles and serve more than 800 businesses across India, having resolved a significant volume of legal cases through its platforms.
The company is also exploring expansion into other sectors such as finance, real estate, and healthcare, where recurring legal challenges impact operations.
