Indian skincare brand ISLAND Beauty has raised ₹2.58 crore in a funding round backed by early-stage venture capital firm AJVC and angel investors, including Vahdam India founder Bala Sarda.

According to the company, the fresh capital will be used for product development, brand awareness and customer acquisition as the startup expands its skincare portfolio in India.

ISLAND Beauty was co-founded by singer and actor Shirley Setia (CMO), Jinsoon Lee, Mayank Jain and Sakshi Jain. The brand combines Korean skincare ingredients and formulation expertise with products developed for Indian consumers and local environmental conditions.

The company follows a barrier-first skincare approach, focusing on products designed for everyday hydration, skin comfort and barrier support. ISLAND Beauty has also positioned its products around simpler skincare routines rather than multiple products targeting individual concerns.

About ISLAND Beauty

ISLAND Beauty’s portfolio includes cleansers, toners and essences, serums, moisturisers and lip-care products. Its website currently lists products such as the Clean in a Melt Cleanser, Purity in a Drop Toner & Essence, Dew Drop Glow Serum, Morning Dew Barrier Moisturiser and Melt On Lip Repair Balm.

The company says its formulations combine Korean skincare expertise with products developed for Indian skin, weather and everyday conditions. Korean skincare expert Jinsoon Lee is involved in the brand’s formulation and product development.

The brand entered the market in 2025 and has been building its product range around barrier-focused skincare. Its positioning places it within India’s expanding market for Korean-inspired and K-beauty products adapted for local consumers.

What’s Next for ISLAND Beauty?

With the latest funding, ISLAND Beauty plans to expand its product portfolio, invest in product and formulation development, build brand awareness and increase customer acquisition.

Over the next three years, the company plans to broaden its market presence and deepen its understanding of Indian consumers while continuing to develop products around its barrier-first approach. The founders have also indicated longer-term plans to build an omnichannel business, with D2C serving as the starting point rather than the final distribution model.

The startup has not publicly disclosed detailed revenue or customer-retention figures.
