Delhi-based ethnic fashion startup House of Chikankari has raised ₹25 crore in a Series A funding round led by Cap Alpha Ventures.

The investment marks a significant growth milestone for the contemporary apparel brand as it expands beyond its digital-first roots.

The company plans to deploy the fresh capital toward expanding its product portfolio, strengthening omnichannel distribution, building an offline retail presence, improving working capital cycles, and scaling internal teams across marketing and operations.

Founded in 2020 by Aakriti Rawal and Poonam Rawal, the brand has built a modern ethnic wear label rooted in India’s traditional chikankari embroidery, reimagined for everyday contemporary fashion.

The startup works with a network of over 10,000 artisans and offers a wide catalogue including kurtas, sarees, kaftans, shirts, co-ord sets, fusion wear, and bottomwear. It has also expanded into adjacent craft categories such as Kashmiri embroidery, ikat, and hand-block printed apparel.

House of Chikankari primarily operates through its D2C website and app, attracting over 9 lakh monthly users. The brand also serves customers across 20+ international markets, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

Financially, the company has crossed an annual revenue run rate of ₹50 crore, delivered over 50% growth in FY26, and served more than 2 lakh customers to date.

The startup had earlier raised seed funding of ₹4 crore in January 2025 and has also gained wider recognition after its appearance on Shark Tank India Season 2.

With this latest round, House of Chikankari aims to scale its retail footprint and strengthen its position in India’s premium ethnic wear segment, targeting multi-fold growth over the next two years.
