Hisabkitab Raises Seed Funding at ₹20 Crore Valuation to Expand AI-Powered Accounting Platform

Fintech SaaS startup Hisabkitab has raised an undisclosed amount in a seed funding round from a group of angel investors and high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) at a valuation of ₹20 crore. The funding will support the company’s efforts to expand its AI-powered accounting platform for India’s small and medium businesses (SMBs).

The fresh capital will primarily be used to strengthen Hisabkitab’s artificial intelligence capabilities by building an AI Intelligence Layer, comprising specialised AI agents for audit, tax preparation, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bookkeeping, and other accounting and compliance functions. The company also plans to accelerate customer acquisition, expand its Chartered Accountant (CA) Partner Programme, and strengthen its product and business teams.

Founded in 2022 by Shrigopal Malani and Abhinav Sharma, Surat-based Hisabkitab is an AI-powered, cloud-native accounting platform built specifically for SMBs. Developed by Chartered Accountants, the platform integrates billing, bookkeeping, GST compliance, reporting, and cloud accounting into a single solution, reducing the need for businesses to manage multiple disconnected software applications.

The platform leverages artificial intelligence and automation to simplify financial operations through features such as AI-powered OCR for document processing, automated ledger creation, GST calculations, e-invoicing, e-way bill generation, GSTR filings, and WhatsApp-enabled invoicing with automated payment reminders. It is accessible across both web and mobile platforms, combining the familiarity of traditional accounting software with the flexibility of cloud-based infrastructure.

According to the company, Hisabkitab has registered more than 30,000 users and currently serves over 2,700 paying SMEs and startups. It also reported strong business momentum, with monthly recurring revenue increasing nearly sixfold from ₹4.18 lakh in May 2025 to ₹25.01 lakh in June 2026.

Going forward, Hisabkitab aims to position itself as an AI-native accounting platform for India’s growing SMB ecosystem. The company plans to deepen its presence among businesses, startups, and Chartered Accountants through its expanding partner network while continuing to invest in intelligent automation for finance and compliance workflows.
