Billionbrains Garage Ventures, the parent company of investment platform Groww, reported a 54% year-on-year increase in profit attributable to shareholders to ₹725.65 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. Revenue from operations rose 47.39% year-on-year to ₹1,501.53 crore in Q2 FY27, according to the company’s financial results.
The company had reported ₹471.34 crore in profit attributable to shareholders and ₹1,018.74 crore in revenue from operations in Q2 FY26. On a sequential basis, revenue was almost unchanged from ₹1,501.42 crore in Q1 FY27, while profit attributable to shareholders declined from ₹735.04 crore.
Including ₹39.01 crore in other income, Groww’s total consolidated income stood at ₹1,540.54 crore during the quarter. Consolidated profit after accounting for non-controlling interests was ₹724.70 crore. For the first half of FY27, revenue from operations stood at ₹3,002.95 crore, while consolidated net profit reached ₹1,459.74 crore.
Financial Performance and Revenue Mix
Groww’s consolidated expenses increased 28% year-on-year to ₹555.93 crore in Q2 FY27, compared with ₹432.60 crore in the same quarter last year. Employee benefits remained the largest individual expense component at ₹168.89 crore, while finance costs stood at ₹4.71 crore and depreciation and amortisation expenses at ₹18.20 crore.
Consolidated EBITDA increased around 60% year-on-year to ₹969 crore from ₹604 crore in Q2 FY26. EBITDA margin also improved to about 64.5% from 59.3% a year earlier.
The quarter also saw a change in Groww’s revenue composition. Equity derivatives remained the largest contributor but accounted for 44.8% of revenue, down from 56.9% in Q2 FY26. The company attributed the decline in derivatives contribution to market adjustments following the introduction of the Closing Auction System (CAS).
Other segments increased their contribution. Commodities accounted for 6.2% of revenue in Q2 FY27, compared with 0.2% a year earlier, while the contribution of Margin Trading Facility (MTF) increased to 10.1% from 7.4%. Stocks contributed 17.4% of revenue during the quarter.
Groww’s MTF market share also increased to 2.7% from 1.6% a year earlier. Its mutual fund market share rose to 14.8% from 13.1%, while its equity derivatives market share increased to 11% from 8.6%.
The company’s asset management business also expanded during the quarter. Groww Asset Management’s assets under management increased 145% year-on-year to ₹7,179 crore from ₹2,928 crore. SIP inflows rose 27.5% year-on-year to ₹14,347 crore.
Customer Growth and Market Position
Groww’s transacting user base increased 27% year-on-year to 2.4 crore, while total customer assets grew 46% to around ₹3.9 lakh crore. The platform added around 11 lakh new transacting users during the quarter.
The company also reported gains across several product categories. Its stock market share increased to 15.4% from 12.9% a year earlier, while it accounted for 22% of total equity IPO allotments during the quarter. Stock average daily turnover increased 42.5% year-on-year to ₹14,430 crore, while MTF grew 160.9% to ₹4,351 crore.
Groww also remained India’s largest stockbroker by active clients in September 2026. NSE data showed around 1.34 crore active clients on the platform, giving it a 29.16% market share after it added 1,00,961 clients during the month. Zerodha followed with a 14.73% share, while Angel One held 14.65%. Groww accounted for more than 60% of the industry’s net active-client additions during the month.
The Q2 results therefore show two parallel trends for Groww. Revenue and profit remained substantially higher than a year earlier, while revenue was almost flat and profit slightly lower compared with the previous quarter. At the same time, the contribution of equity derivatives declined as commodities, MTF, mutual funds and asset management gained importance in the company’s business mix.
