About Foundry
Foundry is developing its first range of products for the kitchen, with the company positioning itself around proprietary technology, industrial design, engineering and material innovation. Rather than focusing only on incremental improvements to existing appliances, the company says it intends to develop its own technology and product architecture.
The startup has been operating in stealth and has not yet disclosed details of its first products, pricing or valuation. Its initial product portfolio will focus on kitchen appliances, while the company plans to enter other home-appliance categories over time.
Ankit Jain brings more than two decades of experience in consumer businesses. He joined Dyson in 2017 and spent nine years with the company across India, Hong Kong, the Middle East and Africa. He was appointed managing director of Dyson India in 2021 and later took responsibility for Dyson’s Middle East and Africa operations. Before Dyson, Jain held leadership roles at Nestlé, Walmart and Star TV/21st Century Fox. He left Dyson in February 2026 before starting Foundry.
Foundry’s technology-first approach is also reflected in the composition of its initial investor group, which includes founders and executives from consumer businesses such as Plix and Yoga Bar. BEENEXT and Kettleborough VC are leading the round, while the individual investors have participated as angel investors.
What’s Next for Foundry
Foundry plans to use the ₹12 crore funding primarily for technology development and product engineering. The company expects to launch its first range of kitchen appliances in the second half of 2027.
The startup has not yet revealed the specific products it plans to launch, so details around its technology, pricing, distribution strategy and manufacturing partners remain undisclosed. Its stated plan is to begin with the kitchen and subsequently expand into other categories across the home.
