EDT Raises $2.4 Million Funding in Pre-Series A Led by Sauce VC
The company plans to use the new capital to expand its product pipeline, distribution network and teams as it builds a broader consumer technology portfolio beyond kitchen appliances.

Mumbai-based consumer technology brand EDT (Everyday Design & Technology) has raised $2.4 million in an oversubscribed Pre-Series A round led by existing investor Sauce VC.
The round also saw participation from existing angel investors, along with new investors including venture debt firm Alteria Capital, Raul Rai of Nicobar, Shibam Das and Arindam Paul of Atomberg, Ajith Pai of Delhivery, and Anushree Tainwala of Samsonite.
The latest fundraise takes EDT’s reported capital raised to about $3.8 million, following a $1.4 million pre-seed round announced in December 2025. That round was led by Sauce VC and included participation from Consumer Collective, Peak XV‘s Spark Grant and a group of founders, operators and family offices.
The company plans to use the latest capital to build inventory ahead of the festive season, launch new products and strengthen its growth, supply chain, brand and product teams. EDT also plans to focus on research and development, omnichannel distribution, community building and selective hiring as it expands its product portfolio.
Founded in 2025 by Naiyya Saggi and industrial designer Vyasateja Rao, EDT initially launched with products for the home and kitchen. Its current portfolio includes the LUMA air fryer oven and FLOW kettle, while the company has now expanded into beauty technology with SUKI, a hair dryer. EDT’s products are available through its D2C platform as well as Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Croma and FoodStories.
According to EDT, its Amazon business grew nearly sevenfold between March and July 2026 as it expanded its distribution across channels. The company has also said that it was the first and youngest brand in its category to be onboarded by Croma, although this remains a company claim.
With SUKI, EDT is entering the beauty-tech and personal-care segment. The hair dryer is built around what the company calls its patent-pending CareDry Algorithm. EDT says the device uses dual sensors to monitor hair and airflow conditions 100 times per second and adjust heat accordingly. The company also says the system combines heat and airflow control with plasma ion technology.
SUKI is currently being offered through EDT’s D2C platform at a limited-time pre-order price of ₹8,499. The company plans to expand the product to online marketplaces and physical retail channels later this year.
EDT currently has three additional products in development across the home, kitchen and beauty-tech categories.
