DocPharma Raises $2 Mn in Pre-Series A Funding Led by Equentis

Bengaluru-based healthcare supply-chain startup DocPharma has raised $2 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Equentis. Existing investor 100Unicorns, Vinners and a consortium of strategic angel investors also participated in the round.

The fresh capital will be used to expand DocPharma’s network of compliant and licensed dark stores, strengthen its technology and scale its healthcare fulfilment infrastructure. The startup plans to establish 100 new dark stores as it expands its presence from more than 12 cities to over 50 cities.

Founded in 2023 by Saquib Ali, Shashank Rai and Sagar Chauhan, DocPharma operates as a backend supply-chain infrastructure provider for healthcare businesses rather than as a conventional consumer-facing e-pharmacy. Its network and technology are designed to help healthcare platforms offer faster delivery without having to build their own fulfilment infrastructure.

The startup works with more than 30 healthcare and wellness platforms, including e-pharmacies, hospitals, health insurers, corporate wellness platforms and D2C health and wellness brands. DocPharma’s model combines a network of dark stores and partnered pharmacies with technology for inventory management, order processing and fulfilment.

Its proprietary SaaS platform, DocPharma One, integrates warehouse management, inventory intelligence, order management and fulfilment into a single operating system for healthcare supply chains. The company says the platform provides real-time inventory visibility, helps route orders to fulfilment centres and supports prescription-compliant processing.

DocPharma says its dark stores stock more than 40,000 SKUs and enable partner platforms to offer medicines and healthcare products in under 30 minutes. The startup has fulfilled more than 800,000 orders to date and reported a fulfilment rate of more than 95%.

The latest fundraise will support the addition of 100 new compliant and licensed dark stores and take DocPharma’s planned footprint to more than 50 cities. The expansion is intended to give healthcare platforms access to local fulfilment infrastructure while maintaining the operational and compliance requirements associated with medicine delivery.

Commenting on the investment, Manish Goel, founder-director at Equentis, said DocPharma combines licensed infrastructure, AI-powered technology and operational expertise to build a scalable healthcare supply chain.
