DigitalPaani Raises ₹22 Crore Funding Led by Navam Capital

Gurugram-based watertech startup DigitalPaani has raised ₹22 crore, or around $2.3 million, in a funding round led by Navam Capital.

The round also saw participation from Enzia VenturesChakra Growth Capital3one4 CapitalMomentum CapitalAchieving Women Entrepreneurs Early Growth Fund and Echo River Capital. The startup did not disclose the stage or valuation of the funding round.

DigitalPaani plans to use the fresh capital to expand its presence across industrial and municipal markets, scale operations to serve more institutional customers and initiate its international expansion. A part of the funding will also be used to strengthen the company’s core operations.

Founded in 2020 by father-daughter duo Mansi Jain and Rajesh Jain, DigitalPaani is building an AI- and IoT-powered operating system for water and wastewater infrastructure.

The platform continuously collects real-time data from water assets and compares their operational performance with their designed parameters. It then identifies the root causes of inefficiencies and helps automate water infrastructure operations, including equipment management, maintenance, inventory tracking and coordination between service teams.

DigitalPaani is targeting a key challenge in India’s water infrastructure sector, where treatment plants can operate below capacity due to complex and inefficient operations rather than equipment failures. The company’s technology is designed to add an intelligence and automation layer to existing infrastructure, helping operators improve plant performance and wastewater recycling.

The startup’s technology is deployed across sewage treatment plants and other water facilities, offering capabilities such as real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, workflow automation and operational management.

DigitalPaani currently serves more than 95 facilities across India, which collectively treat over 150 million litres of water every day. Its customers include Britannia, Leela Hotels, Tata Group and Delhi Jal Board.

According to the company, its technology has helped improve the performance of previously underperforming plants, including bringing some facilities into full operational compliance, while reducing operating costs by up to 25%. DigitalPaani also claims its revenue has grown nearly sixfold over the past two years.

“This funding validates that intelligent infrastructure management is not a luxury, it’s essential,” said Mansi Jain, Co-Founder and CEO of DigitalPaani, adding that the company aims to tackle water scarcity through technology-led infrastructure management.

Navam Capital Investment Partner Anjan Ray said DigitalPaani’s portfolio of customers and depth of expertise position the company to become an operating system for water infrastructure across India and beyond.

With water stress increasing and environmental regulations becoming stricter, DigitalPaani is looking to tap growing demand for technology that can help industries and cities improve wastewater treatment, increase recycling and make better use of existing water infrastructure.
