Dextr AI Raises $6.7 Million Seed Funding Led by Elevation Capital
Dextr plans to use the new capital to develop its products, expand its team, deepen software integrations and increase deployments across hospitality markets.

San Francisco-based hospitality AI startup Dextr AI has raised $6.7 million in seed funding in a round led by Elevation Capital, with participation from Foundation Capital.
The round marks Dextr AI’s first institutional financing and comes as the company emerges from stealth to expand its AI workforce platform across global hospitality markets, including India.
Founded in July 2025 by Sajid Shariff and Scott Arnold, Dextr AI is building an AI workforce for hotels, resorts and other hospitality businesses. Shariff is the company’s CEO, while Arnold serves as co-founder and CTO.
The platform uses specialised AI agents for voice reservations, guest management, staff operations, sales and marketing, allowing hospitality employees to interact with the system through natural-language voice or text commands.
Dextr currently operates across properties in the US, Canada, UK and Europe, including franchised properties operating under brands such as Hilton, Wyndham, Best Western and IHG. The company said its platform handles more than one million interactions a month across hundreds of properties and processes tens of millions of dollars through phone reservations each month. These are company-reported operating figures.
The company’s AI workforce is divided into specialised agents. Daisy handles voice reservations and booking-related calls in more than 90 languages. Alfred manages guest communications, requests, upsells and service recovery. Manny focuses on staff operations, including housekeeping and workforce-related tasks, while Cosmo supports direct bookings, guest re-engagement and marketing.
Dextr’s platform is designed to work with existing hotel technology rather than replace it. The company says its agents can coordinate across systems including property-management, payment, point-of-sale and messaging platforms. Its integrations include systems such as Oracle Hospitality, OPERA Cloud, Stayntouch and Cloudbeds.
Alongside the funding announcement, Dextr introduced DOSS Gen 1, a command layer that allows hospitality employees to manage the company’s AI workforce using natural-language instructions through text or voice. The system includes role-based permissions and audit trails, while allowing operators to configure agents around their property-level standard operating procedures.
Dextr follows what it describes as a forward-deployed model, with AI strategists and engineers working directly with hospitality operators to identify operational problems, connect the company’s software with existing systems and configure agents around individual workflows. This approach is intended to allow the same platform to be adapted to different properties rather than relying only on a standardised software deployment.
The company has cited early operating results from its deployments. According to Dextr, one reservation contact centre generated $80,000 in incremental revenue within 60 days, while a six-property hotel group saved about 1,200 labour hours through AI-assisted housekeeping operations. The company also said properties using Alfred recorded an average 0.4-point improvement in OTA ratings within 90 days. These figures are company-reported and have not been independently verified.
Dextr plans to use the new capital to develop its products, expand its team, deepen software integrations and increase deployments across hospitality markets. India has been identified as one of the company’s expansion markets. The company is also looking to add more AI agents as it expands beyond reservations and guest communications into broader hotel operations.
The company said its team has grown to around 20 people, with employees and AI product builders working across India and the US. Its immediate focus is on expanding deployments while building out the technology layer that connects its specialised AI agents with the systems already used by hospitality operators.
