Biryani Bees Raises $1 Mn Funding From Vivek Oberoi Family Office
Biryani Bees said it was serving 9,000+ plates a day, had generated more than ₹12 lakh in sales across two days.

Prayagraj-based biryani and Indian meals brand Biryani Bees has raised $1 million from the Vivek Oberoi Family Office.
The fresh capital will be used to expand the company’s outlet network, strengthen its central-kitchen infrastructure, build its operations team and develop a standardised model that can be replicated across multiple markets.
Founded by Nitin Tiwari, Biryani Bees is incubated by venture studio Wolfpack Labs and operates a central-kitchen-led QSR model designed to maintain consistency in food quality, pricing and operations as the brand expands.
The company currently operates 3 outlets in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, with locations in Civil Lines and Phaphamau listed on its website. It plans to take the network to 10 outlets across Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and other Tier 2 markets as part of its next phase of expansion.
The brand uses a centralised kitchen model, with food preparation standardised before products are supplied to individual outlets. The approach is aimed at reducing the complexity of operating full-scale kitchens at every location while maintaining consistency as the network grows.
The company and its backers have reported strong operating traction. In a recent update, Biryani Bees said it was serving 9,000+ plates a day, had generated more than ₹12 lakh in sales across two days, and recorded more than 80% repeat customers over the preceding 90 days. These figures are company-reported.
Investor Aakash Anand, founder of BellaVita and associated with Wolfpack Labs, has previously described Biryani Bees as an attempt to build the “McDonald’s of biryani” for India’s Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets. In an earlier update, he said the business was generating around ₹1.5 crore in monthly revenue from two outlets, while a more recent update put the company’s ARR at ₹18 crore and described it as profitable. These figures have not been independently audited.
Biryani Bees was started by Tiwari around the idea of making biryani affordable and accessible to a wider consumer base. On its website, Tiwari says the concept emerged from his experience of looking for food that was both filling and affordable, eventually leading him to develop the brand around a long-standing biryani recipe.
