Astrotalk FY26 Reports: ₹222 Crore Profit as Revenue Rises 55% to ₹1,823 Crore
Highlights
  • Astrotalk reported ₹222 crore consolidated net profit in FY26, compared with about ₹22 crore in FY25, while operating revenue rose 55% to ₹1,823 crore.
  • International revenue grew 2.6 times to ₹621 crore, increasing its contribution to operating revenue from 20% to 34%.
  • Astrology consultations remained the core business, generating ₹1,657 crore, while Astrotalk Store revenue more than quadrupled to ₹166 crore.

Online astrology platform Astrotalk reported a consolidated net profit of ₹222 crore in FY26, compared with approximately ₹22 crore in FY25, according to its audited consolidated financial statements.

Revenue from operations increased 55% year-on-year to ₹1,823 crore from ₹1,176 crore. The company attributed the growth to its core astrology consultation business, international expansion and the scaling of its ecommerce operations.

Profit before tax increased nearly fourfold to ₹296 crore from ₹75 crore in FY25.

The sharp increase in net profit also needs to be viewed against the previous year’s base. FY25 included a significant one-time employee-related expense, which affected reported profitability. The increase in profit before tax therefore provides additional context on Astrotalk’s FY26 performance.

International Revenue Grows 2.6X

International revenue increased to ₹621 crore in FY26 from ₹236 crore in FY25, representing growth of approximately 2.6 times.

Overseas markets accounted for around 34% of Astrotalk’s operating revenue, compared with 20% a year earlier. Domestic revenue also grew 28% to ₹1,202 crore from ₹940 crore.

International operations therefore contributed more than half of the company’s incremental operating revenue during FY26.

The expansion was accompanied by higher marketing expenditure. Advertising and promotional spending increased 144.2% to ₹823 crore from ₹337 crore in FY25 as the company increased spending on customer acquisition and international growth.

Astrotalk’s consultation business remained its largest source of revenue. Paid consultations through chat, calls and video generated ₹1,657 crore, up 45% from ₹1,139 crore in FY25 and accounting for approximately 91% of operating revenue.

At the same time, the company’s ecommerce business expanded at a faster rate. Revenue from Astrotalk Store increased more than fourfold to ₹166 crore from ₹37 crore, taking its contribution to operating revenue from 3.1% to about 9.1%.

Launched in November 2024, Astrotalk Store sells products including rudraksha, gemstones, crystals and Vastu-related products through Astrotalk’s platforms and third-party marketplaces. The company has also indicated plans to expand the business into offline retail and develop a separate gemstones offering.

Cash Reserves Increase as Astrotalk Expands

Astrotalk’s operating cash flow increased 21% to ₹229 crore in FY26. Cash and investments at the end of the financial year, including bank deposits, mutual funds and bonds, increased 41.1% to ₹917 crore from ₹650 crore.

The company said its FY26 expansion was funded through internal cash flows and did not require fresh external capital.

The company was valued at approximately $1 billion in August 2026 following an ESOP buyback involving more than 100 employees. Astrotalk said the buyback was funded from profits generated by the business, making the transaction different from a conventional external funding round.
