Noida-based astrology consulting startup Astrotalk has appointed Deepak Khetan as its first chief financial officer (CFO), a strategic move as the company gears up for a public listing within the next two years.
Khetan, a Chartered Accountant who ranked AIR-1, brings over two decades of experience across financial services and consumer businesses.
He has previously held leadership roles at GLS Group India, GlobalBees, Edelweiss Financial Services, YES Bank, ICICI Bank, and Gulf Islamic Investment.
At Astrotalk, he will lead financial planning, compliance, risk management, and investor relations, while steering the firm’s IPO readiness, international expansion, and long-term growth strategy.
Founded in 2017 by Puneet Gupta, Astrotalk has grown rapidly into one of India’s largest astrology platforms. It works on a revenue-sharing model with over 20,000 astrologers and sees about 700,000 daily active users. Since inception, the platform claims to have served more than 70 million customers, with pricing ranging from ₹10 to ₹200 per minute.
The company has been on a strong growth trajectory. It reported ₹651 crore in revenue for FY24 with a tenfold jump in profits to ₹94 crore, and further scaled up to ₹1,182 crore in revenue and over ₹250 crore in profit in FY25, according to internal estimates. Its current revenue run rate stands at around ₹1,600 crore.
