Red.Health, an innovative medical emergency response startup, has successfully raised $20 million in its Series B funding round. The investment, comprising both equity and debt, was spearheaded by Jungle Ventures with significant contributions from Alteria Capital, HealthQuad, and HealthX.

The newly acquired funds will be instrumental in advancing Red.Health’s technological capabilities and enhancing its dispatch system to minimize human errors and optimize response times.

The startup is set to develop an artificial intelligence-powered recommendation engine designed to provide real-time response prompts during medical emergencies. This cutting-edge technology aims to revolutionize the speed and accuracy of emergency medical interventions.

Red.Health, founded by Prabhdeep Singh in 2016, operates an extensive network of both air and road ambulances, servicing inter- and intra-city medical emergencies.

With operations currently spanning 20 cities and over 100 hospitals, the company plans to expand its reach to 40-50 cities and establish partnerships with over 500 hospitals using the new capital infusion.

The startup collaborates with renowned hospital networks such as Fortis and Apollo Hospitals, providing them with a comprehensive suite of ambulance services, including vehicles, manpower, and operational technology.

Additionally, Red.Health serves corporate clients, ensuring their employees and dependents have access to swift ambulance services.

CEO Prabhdeep Singh highlighted the company’s achievements and future aspirations, stating, “Since our last fundraise, we’ve made substantial strides in technology development, particularly in refining our dispatch system to ensure seamless operations without delays or errors. With this round, we’re set to scale operations in becoming a leading integrated medical emergency response platform in India.”

Red.Health’s innovative approach to medical emergencies has garnered impressive results, including a reported revenue of Rs 100 crore for the financial year ending March 2024.

The company aims to double its revenue for the upcoming fiscal year. Singh emphasized their commitment to rapid response times, noting that their system ensures an ambulance is dispatched within eight minutes of receiving an emergency call, with customer calls being addressed within 0.8 seconds.

The startup’s current operations boast a fleet of over 10,000 ambulances and a network of skilled paramedics across 550 cities. This expansive reach underscores Red.Health’s mission to provide prompt and reliable emergency medical services throughout India.

With the new funding and ambitious plans for expansion, Red.Health is poised to transform the landscape of emergency medical response in India, setting new standards for speed, efficiency, and technological integration in healthcare.
