Zoho Opens New Office in Jordan to Strengthen MEA Presence
The new office was inaugurated in the presence of Sami Smeirat, Jordan's Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, along with senior Zoho executives.
Indian SaaS major Zoho has inaugurated a new office in Amman, Jordan, strengthening its presence across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) as the company continues to expand its global footprint and deepen its regional customer engagement.
The new office was inaugurated in the presence of Sami Smeirat, Jordan’s Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, along with senior Zoho executives. According to the company, the expansion will enhance its ability to support customers, partners, and businesses across the region while reinforcing its long-term commitment to Jordan’s growing technology and innovation ecosystem.
Announcing the development on X, Zoho co-founder Sridhar Vembu said the company is witnessing rapid growth across the Middle East and Africa. He also highlighted the leadership of Hyther Nizam, CEO of Zoho Middle East and Africa (MEA), crediting him for driving the company’s regional expansion.
“Hyther joined Zoho as a fresh engineer in Chennai over 27 years ago. A couple of years ago, he moved to the Middle East to be closer to the market. At Zoho, we like engineers with experience to transform themselves into business people, like Hyther has done,” Vembu wrote, adding that Zoho has been built by dedicated leaders like him.
Hyther Nizam, who has spent nearly three decades with Zoho, now leads the company’s operations across the Middle East and Africa. His transition from software engineer to regional business leader reflects Zoho’s long-standing culture of nurturing talent internally and promoting technical leaders into strategic business roles.
The Amman office marks another step in Zoho’s international expansion strategy as demand for cloud-based business software continues to grow across emerging markets. The company already serves customers across more than 150 countries through a portfolio of over 55 business applications spanning CRM, finance, HR, collaboration, marketing, customer support, and enterprise productivity.
Jordan has increasingly positioned itself as a regional technology hub, supported by a skilled talent pool, government-led digital transformation initiatives, and a growing startup ecosystem. By establishing a local presence, Zoho aims to work more closely with enterprises, SMEs, startups, and channel partners while supporting the country’s broader digital economy ambitions.
Founded in 1996 by Sridhar Vembu and Tony Thomas, Zoho has grown into one of India’s largest privately held software companies, competing globally with enterprise software providers such as Microsoft, Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, and Google Workspace.
