Voice AI Startup Smallest.ai Raises $13 Million in Series A Funding
The platform supports 38 languages and offers enterprise-grade capabilities such as speaker diarisation, emotion detection, multilingual voice generation, and code-switching.
Voice AI startup Smallest.ai has raised $13 million (approximately ₹108 crore) in a Series A funding round led by Seligman Ventures, with participation from existing investors 3one4 Capital and Sierra Ventures.
The fresh capital will be used to expand the company’s enterprise Voice AI platform, strengthen its research and engineering teams, accelerate international go-to-market efforts, and scale deployments across industries including financial services, healthcare, customer support, contact centres, and business process outsourcing (BPO).
Founded in 2023 by Sudarshan Kamath and Akshat Mandloi, Bengaluru-based Smallest.ai develops full-stack Voice AI infrastructure that enables businesses to automate voice interactions through highly natural, low-latency conversational AI. Its platform is designed for enterprise applications requiring real-time voice communication, including customer support, sales, collections, appointment scheduling, and other voice-driven workflows.
Alongside the funding announcement, the company unveiled Voice 4.0, powered by its proprietary Hydra architecture. Unlike conventional voice AI systems that process speech recognition, reasoning, and speech synthesis sequentially, Hydra performs these tasks simultaneously, significantly reducing response latency and enabling more fluid, human-like conversations.
Smallest.ai’s product portfolio includes Pulse STT Pro, its speech-to-text engine, and Lightning V3.1, its text-to-speech model. The platform supports 38 languages and offers enterprise-grade capabilities such as speaker diarisation, emotion detection, multilingual voice generation, and code-switching, allowing businesses to deploy AI voice agents across diverse markets.
The company says its platform is being used by enterprises to automate customer-facing and operational workflows, with customers including Truecaller, Readymode, Premal, and Pocket, among others. It serves businesses across India and international markets, particularly in sectors where high-quality voice automation is becoming increasingly critical.
With the latest round, Smallest.ai has raised more than $21 million in total funding since its inception. The company plans to deepen its AI research, expand globally, and continue investing in next-generation speech technologies as demand for enterprise Voice AI accelerates.
