Venttup Funding: Raises $3 Million in Pre-Series A Led by Rainmatter and Unicorn India Ventures

- Venttup raised $3 million in a pre-Series A round co-led by Rainmatter by Zerodha and Unicorn India Ventures.
- Revenue reached ₹10 crore in FY2025-26, representing fivefold growth since its 2024 seed round.
- Fresh capital will fund engineering expansion, precision manufacturing, rapid prototyping and AI-powered B2B sourcing.
Bengaluru-based engineering and precision manufacturing startup Venttup has raised $3 million in a pre-Series A funding round co-led by Rainmatter and Unicorn India Ventures.
The funding follows Venttup’s undisclosed seed round in 2024, which was also backed by Unicorn India Ventures. The startup was incubated at Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM).
Venttup Builds Manufacturing-as-a-Service Model
Venttup operates through a Manufacturing-as-a-Service (MaaS) model that helps businesses develop, localise and manufacture critical industrial components and subassemblies.
Its services cover engineering design, specification standardisation, rapid prototyping, testing, validation and contract manufacturing. The company combines in-house engineering capabilities with a network of MSME manufacturing partners.
Its manufacturing capabilities include precision machining, casting and forging, sheet metal fabrication, box builds, industrial automation, robotics and technology-enabled B2B sourcing. Venttup works with OEMs, technology companies and deeptech startups across sectors including energy transition, data centres, mobility, defence, aerospace, space and industrial automation.
As part of its expansion, the company is setting up a manufacturing facility in Bengaluru. The facility is expected to support precision machining, turning, sheet metal production and rapid prototyping, allowing customers to move from component development and validation towards production-ready manufacturing.
Venttup said its revenue grew fivefold following its 2024 seed round, reaching ₹10 crore in FY2025-26. Over the past 12 months, it has added more than 15 large companies to its customer base and built a business opportunity pipeline of approximately ₹30 crore across new energy, mobility and smart infrastructure.
Founded by Sandeep Nair, M. Wasim Ankli and Joseph Panakkal, Venttup focuses on engineering-led development and localisation of precision components. The founders have experience across companies including Hitachi Energy, Siemens, L&T and Kalpataru Power.
Funding to Expand Precision Manufacturing and AI
Venttup will use the fresh capital to expand its engineering team, invest in precision manufacturing and rapid prototyping infrastructure, and adopt artificial intelligence for B2B sourcing, supplier intelligence and operational efficiency.
The funding will also support the company’s transition from engineering development and component validation to scalable production, particularly across energy transition, defence, aerospace and space applications.
Venttup is expanding across four business verticals: energy transition and data centres; aerospace, defence and space systems; smart infrastructure and future mobility; and electronics, automation and smart manufacturing. It plans to deepen relationships with OEMs, technology companies and deeptech businesses that require precision manufacturing and component development support.
