EV battery manufacturer Neuron Energy has raised ₹31 crore in a pre-Series B round, backed by Equanimity Ventures, Rajiv Dadlani Group, Thackersay Family Office, Chona Family Office, and several other family offices and HNIs. With this round, the company’s total fundraising has reached ₹80 crore.
The fund will support Neuron Energy’s expansion plans including scaling its manufacturing capacity to 3 GWh, establishing a fully automated production line for electric four-wheelers and buses, advancing in-house R&D, and deepening its presence across both domestic and international markets.
Founded in 2018 by Pratik Kamdar, Neuron Energy builds battery solutions for India’s growing clean mobility segment. Based in Mumbai, the company develops lithium-ion battery packs for various electric mobility applications while also investing in next-generation sodium-ion technology.
Its proprietary smart battery management systems have helped strengthen its position in the two-wheeler EV battery market.
Neuron Energy said it continues to operate with a low-CapEx, low-OpEx model, supporting healthy margins and consistent profitability. The company expects to reach ₹200 crore in revenue this fiscal and is targeting over ₹900 crore in the coming years while maintaining positive growth momentum.
