MochaTrade Raises Pre-Seed Investment from Y Combinator and Pioneer Fund

Global trading platform MochaTrade has raised an undisclosed pre-seed funding round from Y Combinator and Pioneer Fund as part of Y Combinator’s Spring 2026 batch.

The startup plans to use the fresh capital to strengthen its trading engine and risk infrastructure, complete regulatory and compliance processes, and accelerate go-to-market efforts ahead of its launch.

Founded in 2026 by Utkarsh Sinha, Chetan Manda, and Parth Maheshwari, MochaTrade is building a mobile-first platform offering perpetual futures linked to US equities, commodities, and indices.

The platform aims to provide eligible users with leveraged exposure to global assets such as AAPL, TSLA, gold, and the S&P 500 through continuously tradable derivative products.

MochaTrade’s infrastructure is designed to support 24/7 trading with real-time settlement, enabling users to redeploy capital instantly after closing positions. The company plans to initially launch in select developing markets, subject to local regulatory approvals and compliance requirements.

The founding team brings prior experience across fintech and consumer technology. Utkarsh Sinha previously co-founded Martian Wallet, while Chetan Manda has worked at Sprinklr and Parth Maheshwari previously held roles at Adobe and Navi.

MochaTrade is positioning itself at the intersection of global investing and modern derivatives infrastructure, targeting retail traders seeking easier access to international financial markets without relying on traditional brokerage systems.

The startup enters a growing global market where platforms offering cross-border investing and crypto-inspired perpetual trading products are increasingly gaining traction among younger retail investors.
