Lytmus AI Raises Rs 5 Crore Pre-Seed Funding Led by Boundless Ventures

Bengaluru-based edtech startup Lytmus AI has raised ₹5 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Boundless Ventures.

The startup plans to utilise the fresh capital to enhance its artificial intelligence capabilities, accelerate product development, and expand student acquisition efforts, with an initial focus on the NEET preparation segment.

Founded in 2024 by IIT Bombay alumni Ajit Kumar and Praveen, Lytmus AI is developing AI-powered mentors designed to support competitive exam aspirants. The platform combines artificial intelligence with personalised learning techniques to provide students with instant doubt resolution, conceptual explanations, and customised academic guidance.

The startup’s technology architecture operates across two layers. The infrastructure layer is trained on the teaching approaches of experienced educators, enabling AI mentors to deliver structured explanations, while the application layer maintains student-specific memory and learning context to personalise interactions.

Through its platform, students can ask contextual questions while watching lectures, receive step-by-step solutions for problems, and access personalised study plans based on their learning progress and performance.

Currently focused on NEET preparation, Lytmus AI is targeting India’s large medical entrance exam preparation market, which sees more than two million aspirants annually. The company aims to use AI-driven personalised learning to address challenges around accessibility, doubt resolution, and individualised academic support.

According to the startup, its platform has been used by more than 16,000 students in the last 90 days, with learners completing up to three times more daily practice compared with students studying without AI assistance.

Going forward, Lytmus AI plans to expand into additional competitive exam categories, including engineering entrance examinations such as JEE.

The startup operates in a competitive edtech landscape alongside players such as Physics Wallah, Unacademy, Infinity Learn, and Arihant Publications, as AI-driven learning solutions continue to gain adoption among students.
