Kovon, a cross-border workforce mobility platform, has raised $250,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by TDV Partners.

The fresh capital will be used to strengthen product and platform development, expand global employer partnerships, and scale candidate acquisition. The company also plans to invest in building its skilling and training ecosystem, while hiring across technology, operations, and partnerships.

Founded in 2025 by Bibartan Roy and Swayamjeet Das, Kovon is building a platform that connects skilled Indian talent with international job opportunities across sectors such as healthcare, hospitality, construction, and logistics. The company aims to solve long-standing inefficiencies in global workforce mobility, including fragmented processes, lack of trust, and limited access to financing.

The platform functions as an integrated infrastructure layer, covering the entire journey—from job discovery and candidate verification to upskilling, financing, placement, and post-deployment support.

“We witnessed the fragmentation in global talent mobility, particularly in the blue-collar segment, firsthand. While global demand is rising, the supply chain remains broken at multiple levels. At Kovon, we are bridging this gap by embedding discovery, financing, opportunity, and trust into a single, seamless platform,” said Bibartan Roy, Co-founder and CEO of Kovon.

Kovon is positioning itself at the intersection of two major global trends—India’s growing working-age population and rising labour shortages in developed economies. At the same time, millions of Indian workers continue to seek better employment opportunities abroad each year.

By building a trusted, tech-driven ecosystem, the startup aims to standardise processes, reduce friction, and make global job access more reliable for India’s blue- and grey-collar workforce.
