Game-tech startup LightFury Games raises $11 Mn pre-Series A funding
The Bengaluru-based startup focuses on creating high-quality, mobile-first gaming experiences for global players.

LightFury Games has raised $11 million (around ₹103 crore) in a pre-Series A round backed by Blume Ventures, V3 Ventures, MIXI, and Times Internet.
The round also saw participation from Indian cricketers including MS Dhoni and Hardik Pandya, among others.
The capital will be deployed toward advancing its upcoming title, strengthening backend live-ops capabilities, and building scalable content systems to support long-term player engagement post-launch.
Launched in 2024 by Karan Shroff, Anurag Banerjee, and Tina Balachandran, the Bengaluru-based firm focuses on creating high-quality, mobile-first gaming experiences for global players.
Ightfury newsIts debut title, eCricket, is designed as a next-generation cricket simulation powered by Unreal Engine 5, combining realistic physics, strategic gameplay layers, and immersive broadcast-style presentation. The title is expected to launch in 2026.
The studio has licensed a roster of over 600 international cricketers, including Joe Root, Ben Stokes, and Kane Williamson, enabling a globally relevant gameplay experience.
LightFury is adopting a free-to-play model supported by in-app purchases such as player customisation, collectibles, and seasonal content, while avoiding real-money gaming formats.
With prior funding of $8.5 million raised in 2024, the company is positioning itself at the intersection of high-fidelity gaming and mobile accessibility, as it builds from its bases in Bengaluru and London.
