Bengaluru-based interactive entertainment startup dubdub has raised $1.3 million in seed funding in a round co-led by 3one4 Capital, Antler and Stellaris Venture Partners.

The company will use the fresh capital to expand its product and engineering teams, introduce new interactive formats and improve personalisation across its content feed.

Founded in 2026 by Kaustubh Priye and Supan Shah, dubdub launched in March with a swipe-based format combining bite-sized trivia, mini-games and brain puzzles. Instead of a conventional passive content feed, the app prompts users to answer questions, solve challenges, make predictions and compete with friends.

About dubdub

dubdub offers interactive content across more than 20 categories, including cricket, Bollywood, general knowledge, pop culture, mythology and logical reasoning. Its feed uses AI and user interactions to personalise the challenges shown to users based on their interests and activity. Users can also challenge friends and compare scores.

The company has reported more than 20,000 downloads since its March launch. It also says its early retention rates are above the top percentile of casual games. However, dubdub has not publicly disclosed the specific retention percentage, measurement period or benchmark behind this comparison, so the retention figure remains a company-reported claim.

The founders previously built Aldun, a health-tech company focused on hospital discharge automation. Care.Fi acquired Aldun in January 2026, two months before dubdub launched. Priye and Shah have also worked at companies including Flipkart, Udaan and OnMobile.

dubdub is positioning its product as an interactive alternative to passive scrolling, with short challenges forming the basic unit of its feed. The company’s longer-term objective is to develop a broader short-form entertainment platform built around interactive experiences rather than only trivia.

What’s Next for dubdub?

The latest funding will allow dubdub to expand its product and engineering teams, develop additional interactive formats and improve the personalisation of its content feed.

The startup plans to build on its existing trivia and puzzle formats while adding more ways for users to participate, compete and interact. Its use of AI is also expected to play a role in selecting and personalising challenges for individual users.
