Cumin Co, a Gurugram-based toxin-free kitchenware startup, has raised $1.5 million (₹13.16 crore) in its first institutional funding round led by Fireside Ventures, with participation from Huddle Ventures.
The company said the funds will be used to expand enamel-based coating manufacturing in India and strengthen its supply chain, as it looks to scale operations in a growing premium cookware market.
Founded in February 2025 by Niharika Joshi and Udit Lekhi, Cumin Co was born out of a personal concern when the founders discovered that traces of aluminium from conventional cookware were leaching into meals.
Rejecting Teflon as an alternative due to harmful chemicals such as PTFE, PFOA, and PFAS, they set out to build 100% toxin-free enamel cast iron cookware.
Cumin Co’s products priced between ₹1,999 and ₹7,000 includes enamel-coated cast iron pots and pans, designed to blend traditional durability with modern health standards.

The startup currently sells via its own website and Amazon, while also preparing to launch select categories on quick-commerce platforms like Blinkit, Zepto, and Instamart. It incorporates sustainability through plastic-free packaging and responsibly sourced materials.
