Hyderabad-based B2B startup Sedna HoReCa has raised ₹50 crore (approximately $5.8 million) in a fresh funding round led by Anicut Capital.

The startup plans to use the capital to expand its tech-driven platform for the hotel, restaurant, and catering (HoReCa) industry across 20 Indian cities within the next year.

Founded in 2022 by Mahadevan Narayanamoni and Saurabh Pandey, Sedna is building what it calls India’s first unified platform combining software, commerce, and food product solutions for the fragmented HoReCa sector. This includes tools to tackle challenges like inflated procurement costs, erratic supply chains, and inventory losses due to pilferage.

Sedna’s platform operates across three core verticals. Its SaaS arm includes tools like SupplyNote for inventory management and BillNote, a point-of-sale solution for cafés and restaurants.

On the commerce and distribution side, it runs Vyap, a supply platform, and SupplyLink, a logistics solution tailored for HoReCa needs.

The company is also gearing up to enter the ready-to-cook and ready-to-serve food product segment, targeting commercial kitchens, food courts, and D2C brands. To support this expansion, it’s setting up a new food production facility in Bengaluru and scaling operations at its existing HU facility.

Previously, Sedna had raised $1.44 million. With its latest funding, the startup aims to modernize how HoReCa businesses across India operate—through digital infrastructure, better supply chain control, and cost-effective solutions.
