Prafull Billore is a young Indian entrepreneur who started his own tea company in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He is a YouTuber, angel investor, keynote speaker, and content creator. Mr. Billore Ahmedabad was the name he gave his company at first, but it was later changed to MBA CHAI WALA.
On January 14, 1996, he was born in Dhar, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Prafull mentions growing up in humble circumstances. His parents wished for him to complete his MBA in order to land a high-paying job.
Prafull began his MBA preparations in 2014. (Master of Business Administration). In 2016, he graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore. Prafull began studying for the CAT (Common Admission Test) and the GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) in 2016.
He did not consider his failure to pass the CAT entrance exam a failure, and so, with dreams in his eyes and zest in his heart, he travelled all over the country and discovered the one thing that changed his entire life: CHAI.
Following his graduation, Prafull began working as a salesman for Amway. He later worked as housekeeping staff at McDonald’s. While working at McDonald’s, he established MBA Chai Wala, a tea stall.
He is now one of the country’s youngest business owners. Prafull rose to prominence through his innovative business concepts such as “Mehfil-e-kavita,” “Free chai for singles,” “youth entrepreneurship sessions,” and many others. Prafull’s MBA Chai Wala, which began with just Rs 8,000, now has a turnover of more than Rs 30 crore and operates more than 200 outlets successfully.
His brand is recognised and honoured by major media organisations such as the Times of India, NDTV, Zee News, Scoopwoop, Brut, Aaj Tak, BBC, and CNN.
Prafull has been invited to many college talk shows, including IITs, IIMs, LPU, TEDxKIET (along with Nitin Gadkari), Josh Talks, TEDxMDI Gurgaon, and others.
He has also released a book titled, ‘All You Need is JOSH’.
A journey that began in front of a college he aspired to attend has now evolved into something bigger than him and bigger than all of us. He is dedicated to promoting “Atmnirbharta” and entrepreneurship. His motto, “Har-Har Start Up, Ghar-Ghar Start Up,” is all about inspiring people from every family in India to start at least one business.
He has 1.3 million Instagram followers and more than 1.5 million YouTube subscribers, and he is widely followed on social media. He is always talking about India’s future, how it can become a $5 trillion economy, and how Har-Har Startup and Ghar-Ghar Startup can change the entire scene of the Indian start-up ecosystem. Mr. Prafull Billore draws a large crowd at every MBA CHAI WALA outlet opening event and has become a huge youth icon across the country.
