Chennai-based deep-tech startup VyomIC has raised $1.6 million (₹14 crore) in a pre-seed funding round led by Speciale Invest, with participation from BYT Capital and DeVC.
The funds will be used to advance the development of VyomIC’s LEO-based PNT (Positioning, Navigation, and Timing) payload, support its upcoming spaceborne demonstration mission, and expand its team and business operations.
Founded in 2023 by Lokesh Kabdal, Vibhor Jain, and Anurag Patil, VyomIC is building satellite constellations designed to deliver secure, sovereign, and highly accurate navigation and timing services from Low Earth Orbit (LEO).
Its mission is to power the next wave of autonomous systems, secure infrastructure, and mission-critical operations, reducing reliance on foreign-controlled navigation networks such as GPS and GLONASS.
VyomIC’s LEO-PNT platform integrates atomic clocks, secure signal encryption, and AI-driven orbit prediction, offering centimeter-grade accuracy and nanosecond-level timing. With strong resilience against jamming and spoofing, the technology is positioned for high-stakes applications in defence, aerospace, telecommunications, financial systems, and other critical sectors.
