D2C pickle brand FarmDidi has raised more than Rs 7 crore in a seed funding round led by Samved Ventures. Additional participation came from LetsVenture, Indigram Labs, IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, and angel investors affiliated with IIM Calcutta and Symbiosis.
The capital will be deployed to expand the team, strengthen research and development efforts, upgrade technology-driven quality systems, and grow its network of rural women entrepreneurs, increasing the “Didis” community from 2,000 to over 5,000 in the near future.
Established in 2022 by Manjari Sharma, Anukrit Johari, and Asmita Ghodeshwar, FarmDidi focuses on enabling rural women to become food entrepreneurs. The company allows women to create homemade, chemical-free pickles and condiments directly at the farm, combining age-old traditional recipes with contemporary food safety and hygiene standards.
The company ensures clean-label products that maintain the authentic taste of Indian kitchens while meeting today’s quality standards. FarmDidi, which appeared on Shark Tank India Season 3, secured a funding deal of Rs 1 crore from judges Vineeta Singh and Peyush Bansal.
