BQP, a quantum-accelerated simulation company operating at the intersection of advanced computation and applied engineering, has raised $4.9 million in a seed funding round led by Monta Vista Capital.
The round, which was oversubscribed, also saw participation from New York Ventures, Arc Ventures, Emergent Ventures, Alumni Ventures, and several strategic angels.
This funding brings the startup’s total capital raised to $6.6 million.
The fresh capital will power BQP’s development of its quantum-driven digital twin framework, with a focus on mission-critical sectors like aerospace, defense, and semiconductors.
The raise follows the company’s formal collaboration with the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Aerospace Systems Directorate, under a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA), to enhance simulation capabilities through quantum modeling.
Founded in 2020 by Abhishek Chopra, Jash Minocha, and Rut Lineswala, BQP is headquartered in New York and Bengaluru. The team, composed of physicists, systems engineers, and software architects, is building software that merges quantum probabilistic methods with classical physics to solve real-world engineering problems at scale.

At the heart of BQP’s stack is BQPhy, a simulation platform designed to run on traditional computing infrastructure while leveraging quantum-inspired solvers for optimization, machine learning, and physics-based modeling. It can either operate as a standalone simulation engine or power digital twin deployments across CPU, GPU, and quantum systems.
BQP’s growing list of collaborators includes major public and private organizations such as the U.S. Department of Defense, IBM, Intel, Moog, IAI North America, ABB, the Indian Ministry of Heavy Industries, and several Tier-I aerospace companies.
